Head of Experience

Innovation Platform & AI

Dave is an experiential design director with over a decade of leadership experience in high-stakes product and agency environments. He started as a mobile game designer who became infatuated with the process of connecting the opaque realm of technology to the visceral realm of human interaction. This led him to the agency life, where he had a hand in defining experiences for dozens of in-market digital solutions and experiential activations for influential brands like Domino's. As the Head of Experience at Iterate.ai, Dave focuses on making sure "we build the right things" for our digital experiences and our members' innovation initiatives so that they can deliver real value to both the customer and the business.

More About Dave Rowley

My most successful innovation work ...

Domino's Delivery Hotspots - a delivery service innovation that I had the pleasure of taking from initial concept through prototype, pilot and a fully operationalized national launch over the course of 3 years in collaboration with other digital creatives and the Domino's digital experience team.

My most inspiring project at Iterate ...

The skunkworks-style conversational prototyping and POC's done at Iterate for the innovation labs at Ulta and Chanel are some of the most exciting projects I've had the pleasure of working on in years.

One Favorite Book

Designing for the Digital Age: How to Create Human-Centered Products and Services

by Kim Goodwin

This book is a tome of well organized reference materials for how to think about design through the lens of who it's for, the user, the customer, the guest, the operator, the person. When the concept of "UX" was in its nascent stages and everyone knew they needed it but nobody really knew what it was, this was a book that launched me on the path to understanding and pursuing it as a central pillar of my true calling.
