Our product is a novel anode for lithium ion batteries that has:
1. High-energy capacity: it provides 3X the energy capacity (1200mAh/g) of graphite anodes.
2. Long cycle lifetime: Besstech’s anode is able to provide energy without detriment to the cycle life. Our anodes have been tested to more than 1000 cycles above 80% initial capacity.
3. Allowed fast charging rates: most anodes require slow charging rates to avoid structural damage. Because of our surface engineering, our anode can withstand charging rates as fast as 6 minutes (10C) .
4. Manufacturing time: our technology is a departure from traditional anode manufacturing, which involves mixing, coating, drying, and calendaring (process can take 3-4 weeks). Our anode is fully manufactured via PVD and CVD. Manufacturing time takes less than 2 hours. Our approach also eliminates the use of carbon and binders and greatly reduces the large overhead commonly associated with anode manufacturing.
